All students of biology know that according to the Linnean system of taxonomy, now adopted universally, species are named by a genus and a specific name. This shrub is a Mock Orange (Philadelphus sp.). This system was also attempted by him for minerals, since there are the three kingdoms of plant, animal, and mineral, all considered to be parts of a living world. However, the Linnaean system for minerals never caught on.
